Photographic documentation of Pilot Andrew Allen performing an evaluation of the passive cycle isolation system (PCIS) onboard the Space Shuttle Columbia during STS-62. The evaluation compares the magnitude and frequency of vibrations transferred to the orbiter from the ergometer equipped with the PCIS to those caused by an ergometer with a hard mount and to evaluate the ease of set up and stwage of the PCIS, the impact on the performance of exercise activities, and the impact on crew habitation in the middeck.
