An Apollo spacecraft was mated yesterday to the third or upper stage of the Apollo/Saturn V 501 space vehicle in High Bay No. 1 of the Vehicle Assembly Building. The spacecraft consists of the Command Module, top, the Service Module and the Spacecraft Lunar Module Adapter. The first flight of the Apollo Saturn V is scheduled for next year.
