The Tethered Satellite System-R (TSS-1R) is moved to the Crew Equipment Interface Test (CEIT) stand in the Operations and Checkout (O&C) Building as part of final preparations of the TSS- R for integration into the Space Shuttle Orbiter Columbia as a primary payload on the STS-75 mission. Once in orbit, the TSS-R will be used to scientifically examine the electrodynamics of a deployed conducting tether in space. Also on board Columbia during the STS-75 mission will be the United States Microgravity Payload-3 (USMP-3). The spaceflight is now scheduled for launch in February 1996.
