Onboard the Spacehab module in the cargo bay of the Earth-orbiting Space Shuttle Atlantis, astronaut Michael R. (Rich) Clifford secures a stowed gyrodyne. The stabilizing instrument earlier had been replaced on Russia's Mir Space Station with a new one brought up from the ground by the crew. The mission specialist and his crew mates docked with Mir on March 23, 1996 and remained linked until March 28, 1996.
