This view, taken from one of the Space Shuttle Atlantis' overhead windows with an Electronic Still Camera (ESC), shows part of Russia's Mir Space Station backdropped over the Sahara Desert. The two spacecraft docked some 30 hours earlier, with the two crews of astronauts and cosmonauts greeting and exchanging gifts in the Mir Base Block Module, near foreground. At the upper right corner edge is a small section of the Docking Module (DM) which was delivered on the previous STS-74 Atlantis mission.
