The three members of the American ASTP prime crew are photographed inside the Apollo Command Module trainer in a water tank in Building 260 during water egress training at NASA's Johnson Space Center. They are, left to right, astronauts Thomas P. Stafford, commander; Vance D. Brand, command module pilot; and Donald K. Slayton, docking module pilot. The training session was part of the preparations for the joint U.S.--USSR Apollo-Soyuz Test Project docking mission in Earth orbit scheduled for July 1975.
