From the overhead windows on the flight deck of Discovery, the Hubble Space Telescope is viewed just prior to its release from the remote manipulator arm. The solar panels are fully extended. The two S-band high-gain antennas used for communications through the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite are deployed. The telescope was released by Astronaut Steve Hawley on April 25, one day after launch.
