Astronauts John M. Grunsfeld, payload commander, and Richard M. Linnehan (out of frame) mission specialist, participate in the final of five STS-109 space walks. The two went on to install an experimental cooling system for the Hubble Space Telescope’s infrared Camera and Multi-Object Spectrometer (NICMOS). This image was recorded with a digital still camera by a crewmate inside the shuttle's crew cabin. The NICMOS has been dormant since January 1999 when its original coolant ran out.
