An illustration of a suit like the ones to be worn on the Apollo 15 lunar landing mission. The suit prevents exposure of the astronaut to the moon's vacuum. It incorporates many improvements over suits used on previous Apollo flights. Sketched also are several items of equipment to be used. A schematic shows the location on the suit of various tools and other paraphernalia to be used by the two moon-exploring crewmembers of the mission. Note the Portable Life Support System (PLSS).
