Neil Berger of NASA’s Ground Systems Development and Operations Program points to an artist rendering of the 70-metric-ton configuration of the agency’s Space Launch System rocket during a social media tour of the spaceport’s Vehicle Assembly Building. A new heavy-lift rocket, the SLS will be more powerful than any previously built. SLS will be capable of sending humans aboard the Orion spacecraft to an asteroid and Mars. The tour was offered to NASA Social participants for SpaceX CRS-7.
