Gioia Massa glues seeds into place inside pouches filled with soil and fertilizer before they are taken to the International Space Station as part of the Veggie experiment designed to see how plants grow in microgravity. The seed pouches are planted with lettuce and Chinese cabbage seeds. They will be carried inside a Dragon spacecraft during Commercial Resupply-7 mission. Astronauts will water the plants in orbit daily once the experiment begins.
