Astronaut Joseph P. Allen IV, one of two mission specialist astronauts for STS-5, participates in a biomedical test in the middeck area of the Earth-orbiting space shuttle Columbia. A series of electrodes have been connected to his face for monitoring of his responses in zero-gravity. He was assisted in the test by astronaut William B.
