NASA astronaut Ron Garan, Expedition 27 flight engineer, waits aboard the International Space Station (ISS) for a two week visit by the six-person crew aboard the space shuttle Endeavour as the two spacecraft made their relative approach on May 18, 2011. Each spacecraft was occupied by six crew members until the STS-134 astronauts entered the ISS minutes after the docking. Garan and some of the other crew members were able to watch Endeavour through the small portal in the background.
