Following the tragic loss of Columbia and crew on their return to Earth, Center Director Roy Bridges and Deputy Director James Kennedy place a wreath in front of the Astronauts Memorial Space Mirror at the KSC Visitor Complex. The mirror is a national tribute to the earlier 17 American astronauts who also gave their lives to the quest to explore space.
