The doors of the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) are open for the transfer of Space Shuttle Endeavour, on its mobile launcher platform, to Launch Pad 39B. Launch of STS-103 is targeted for Dec. 16 at 9:18 p.m. EST. The crew, comprising Commander Curtis L. Brown Jr., Pilot Scott J. Kelly, and Mission Specialists Steven L. Smith, C. Michael Foale (Ph.D.), John M. Grunsfeld (Ph.D.), Claude Nicollier of Switzerland, with the European Space Agency (ESA), and Jean-Frangois Clervoy of France, also with ESA, will be servicing the Hubble Space Telescope, replacing gyros, insulation and equipment in up to three space walks. Landing is targeted for Dec. 26 about 6:56 p.m. at KSC's Shuttle Landing Facility.
