In Orbiter Processing Facility bay 3, payloads slated to fly on Shuttle Mission STS-72 are being transferred into the cargo bay of the orbiter Endeavour. Shown is the Office of Aeronautics and Space Technology-Flyer (OAST-Flyer). The OAST-Flyer is an experiment platform that will be deployed during the mission and then retrieved after an approximately 40- to 50-hour free flight in space. Spanning the length of the bay is the Canadian-built Remote Manipulator System arm, which will be operated during STS- 72 to deploy and retrieve the OAST- Flyer. Space Shuttle Mission STS-72 is targeted for a January 1996 liftoff.
