The red carpet treatment is given astronauts Edward H. White II and James A. McDivitt as they arrive on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Wasp after their record breaking 62-revolution, 97-hour and 56-minute flight which ended in the Atlantic Ocean about 400 miles east of Cape Kennedy at 12:12 p.m. (EST) on June 7, 1965.
