Originally there were two European space bodies, the European Space Research Organisation (ESRO) and the European Space Vehicle Launcher Development Organisation (ELDO), which were combined into the European Space Agency (ESA) in 1975. This book was published (in English and French) to mark twenty years of this European space cooperation. It consists of recollections by some of the principal pioneers, friends of ESA and industrial partners.
